I wanted to share the lyrics to a song that I wrote. The name of the song is called Puddles of Pain. A buddy of mine has been struggling with his marriage coming to a crashing halt. This song was going to be about his story and his feelings and struggles. I was going to use actual situations and incorporate them into the song but that didn 't happen. It changed as I wrote it. Hopefully the song catches the feeling of losing someone.

Water pours like a waterfall
on a rainy Kansas day.
I stomp down on the gas
in my beat up Chevrolet.
My hands grip the steering wheel
Receipt in my shirt pocket.
Life is like a sad song
of love and how I lost it.
Chorus- The rain falls down
and pain is all around
Rain everywhere I go.
I'm driving through puddles
Puddles of Pain.
This morning drove by a pawn shop
saw her ring on display
The clerk behind the counter
said, " He bought it yesterday."
I asked, "Can I hold it?"
that diamond it still shined.
I flipped out my Visa
Yeah, It's mine a second time.
The rain falls down
and pain is all around
Rain everywhere I go.
I'm driving through puddles
Puddles of pain.
The weatherman the radio
said, "The forecast is bright.
Storms will pass through
and stars will shine tonight.
The rain falls down
and pain is all around.
Rain everywhere I go.
I'm driving through puddles
Puddles of Pain.
