I wanted to share some lyrics from a song that I am working on. The song is called Nashville. Nashville is the girl in the song but she is also everything that Nashville stands for. I have written about five pages of verses and stuff that will never make it into the song. I thought it might be interesting to share some of the verses that I chose not to use. If I don't share them, all they are words on a page.
She wore a name tag with no name
so I chose a good one to use.
Her name used to be, Emily from Tennessee
but for now, Nashville will do.
Chorus Nashville is my type of lady
A lady that gives me all kinds of hope.
I hope that her love, will smile on me.
I love Nashville, and maybe she'll love me.
I drove into town on a ten year plan
don't know if my plans will come true.
I dreamed of a good life, a home and a good wife
cause that's what all dreamers do.
Nashville is my type of lady.
A lady that gives me all kinds of hope
I hope that her love, will smile on me.
I love Nashville and maybe she'll love me.
She's had her share of great lovers
lovers she made rich and then they moved on.
so I wrote her a love song to win her heart
you might hear it when you turn your radio on.
Nashville is my type of lady
A lady that gives me all kinds of hope.
I hope that her love, will smile on me.
I love Nashville and maybe she'll love me.
I love Nashville and maybe she'll love me.
This was a really easy way to write a song. I took lyrics that didn't fit my original song and wrote a new chorus. I didn't do much editing just sharing words on a page.
