    Pair of Dice (Paradise)

    The River

    Cell phones in heaven

Are there cell phones in heaven?

If so, Can I talk to Mom?

    I need to talk.

    Can you put her on?

    It's been awhile

    since I heard her voice

    Wanna hear her smile

    feel some of her joy.

    I hope she's not busy

Hope she's got some free time

    Am I breaking a rule?

    I bet God wouldn't mind.

All I need is ten minutes

    I know, I'm asking alot

    but the bullets were flying

    and Yeah, I got shot.

Tell her, I'll come see her

    I don't know when

    maybe sooner, than later

    I guess it depends.

    On the damage it does

    which organs get hit

    Maybe I can come home

    to where Momma lives

    I'm feeling kinda faint

    and I'm scared of dying

    Have you told her yet

    that I'm on the line.

    I bet she's with Jesus

Yeah, If you can find him

    She's probably drinking coffee

    sitting there talking

    about me as a kid

    with a new grass trimmer

    No weeds and no grass

    for all of the summer.

    You say, Momma's busy

    She's at the pearly gates

    Somebody special is arriving

    and she can hardly wait

    I forgot my manner,

forgive me, If I was rude

    I didn't ask your name

    Who am I talking too?

    Oh, It's you Jesus

    Yeah, I should have known

    by your patience and kindness

    to me on the phone.

    Tell Mom, I;m coming

    and thank you for

    listening to me so

    I wouldn't die alone.

I'm a crook on the cross where I deserve to be
and the King of the Jews is hanging beside me
Four soldiers dividing up, the clothes he wore
It was part of the job, they'd done before
The robe of a King. It was nice.
Let's decide the winner with a pair of dice.

    Chorus
Pair of Dice, throw the dice.
Pair of Dice, roll the dice.
    They're losers and a winner.
    Pair of Dice.

The other thief on the cross, was hateful and rude
He yelled, "Save yourself, and save us too."
Jesus cried, "Father forgive them they don't know what they do
I yelled, "He's done no wrong. He's not like me and you
"Jesus please remember me" those words I cried.
He said, "Today you'll be with me in paradise.

    Paradise, Paradise,
    Paradise, Paradise.
    They're are winners and losers
    in paradise.

Looking back at the cross at the soldier and me
He won a robe and me eternity.
What a strange place to meet God's dying Son
Jesus, The Messiah, The Chosen One
I know that he died, to be my sacrifice
And it's because of him, I'm here in paradise

    Paradise, paradise,
    Paradise, paradise,
    This losers a winner
    in paradise.

    Dad's Dodge Dart

    It’s a mechanic’s dream
    Dad bought it real cheap.
    It smoked and it rattled
It had rips in the seat.

    Dad named her Blue
    Said, “She starts every day.
    Leaks a little penzoil
    In our driveway.

Chorus-The windsheilds cracked, the doors don’t lock.
    The radio’s blaring Southern rock.
Dad didn’t care what anyone thought
We’re headed to school in Dad’s Dodge Dart.

    When I saw the playground
    I’d beg him to stop.
I’d ask, Dad, can we walk?
    It’s just a few blocks.

    He’d stomp on the gas
    She’d sputter and cough.
    He’s honk on the horn
    When he dropped us off.

Chorus- The windshields cracked, the doors don't lock.
    The radio's blaring Southern rock.
Dad didn't care what anyone thought.
We rode to school in Dad's Dodge Dart/

Bridge- Looking back I think about Old Blue and my Dad
How to be happy with what we had.

Chorus- The windshields cracked, the doors don't lock.
    The radio's blaring Southern rock.
I didn’t care what anybody thought
I drove off to college in Dad’s Dodge Dart.

My name is Moneymaker, Texas hold'em is my game
I can't forget all the times I bet everything.
I'm an internet better, poker player while at work.
I pray when I lose and wear my lucky shirt

Chorus- I can't smile when I win or sigh when I lose
I can't see your cards but Lord I wish I could
I can bluff with the best and shove my chips all in
and maybe if I'm lucky, the river will be my friend.

Won a poker tournament, a ten thousand dollar chair
World Series out in Vegas, my jackpots waiting there
I've got stack and stacks of chips, from all the games I've won
I've seen a million cards but it all comes down to one.

Chorus-I can't smile when I win or sigh when I lose
I'd gladly trade this king for a pair of two's
I can bluff with the best and shove my chips all in
and maybe if I'm lucky, the river will be my friend.

Yeah, old Sam across the table, He's in love with lady luck
Yeah, I've been there too, but she's gone when I wake up.
I don't wonder why she left but I hope she'll be back
The river's rolling my way, I'm thankful about that.

Chorus- I can't smile when I win or sigh when I lose
I wear my mirror glasses I hope they bother you.
I can bluff with the best and shove my chips all in
and maybe if I'm lucky the river will be my friend.

Yeah I got lucky, the river was my friend.
