Life can be very vanilla sometimes. We go to work at the same job, sometimes we work the same hours, talk to the same people, even drive the same route to and from work everyday. This is great if you like to be regimented and I must admit I can be that way. So last week I decided to try something new. Usually I always write songs and my main focus is the lyrics. I love it when you craft a song and it comes out the way you imagine it in the recording of your mind.
I had a guitar riff that I really liked. It has more of a rock feel than most songs that I write. So I decided that I would try to write a song that could fit the Sync market. The sync market is music that is played in movies, commercials, tv shows, soap opera's, ( Do they still make soap opera's?) and any where else that you might need music playing in the background. Maybe a Kroger grocery store.
I have submitted songs for sync opportunities before. They were songs that I wrote and had a professional studio style them up and add bows and ribbons. I have never sent one in that was me and me only playing all of the instruments. I'm not trying to add the bows and ribbons, I just want to create a decent sounding acceptable sync song. The great thing about creating these songs myself is that it doesn't cost me any cash. Time, yes. Cash, No.
Hey, maybe you are a musician or vocalist and would be interested in doing this with me. Hit me up and let me know what you play or how great you sing. The only thing that it would cost us to chase the dream is time. Even though, that is one of the most important commodities of life.
Let me know if you like it. Is there a problem area that needs fixed? I am open to suggestions to make it better. Have a great day.
