This is the title of the song that I got a publishing single song contract on. It is a song about my Mom and Dad and their love for each other. I heard my Dad say time how you ought to be able to see love. (but he didn't say it that way) He used a real life example. We had gone over to a couple's home that were friends of my parents. This couple was big on saying, I love you to each other with everyone around. They liked to place their love on display.
On this particular night, we got to see the B-side or the flip side of the record. What started out as a bad joke between the couple turned into a fight. A name calling fight with words of hatred. I had never seen this type of behavior from my parents and never did. Dad and Mom believed if you truly loved someone why would you speak hateful and angry words to them to hurt them.
I don't know if I ever heard them say I love you, but I saw them say, I love you everyday. They said it everyday by the things they did for each other. Mom would cook Dad's favorite meals. Dad would buy Mom a color TV or a microwave when these items were what everyone had to have. Dad could of done without both of them buy he knew Mom wanted them and he wanted to make her happy.
I guess, I really didn't write the song, I just watched them live it and I wrote down what I saw. Please click on the bottom to hear the song.
