This is a song that I said I was going to write. It is still a work in progress but I wanted to share what I had.
Thirty Days Gone
I wrote you a song, and called it Best Friend.
You won't get to hear me. play it again.
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, the days go slow
I wish you were here but you had to go.
Chorus- Thirty days gone, I'm holding on.
I'm standing strong, your thirty days gone.
Your birthday was Friday, It came and it went.
No ice cream and cake, no money was spent.
If you were here, yeah it would have been fun
To sing happy birthday at the top of my lungs.
Thirty days gone, I'm holding on.
I'm standing strong, your thirty days gone.
You left with no notice, left behind everything
your clothes, your Bible, your wedding rings.
I'll treasure the memories, and store them away
like an umbrella to use on a rainy day.
Thirty days gone, I'm holding on.
I'm standying strong, your thirty days gone.
Bridge- Thirty days, thirty days, thirty days gone.
One month closer to seeing you Mom.
Thirty days gone, I'm holding on.
I'm standing strong, thirty days gone.
