Yesterday afternoon we attended the wrist banding party. What is a wrist banding party? It is when you trade in your paper ticket for the Country Stampede concert for a  wrist band. The wrist band is your new ticket that you will wear on your wrist for the next four days. This is done so you don't have to stand in a long line at the Stampede to get your wristband. 
         The event was held outside the HyVee in Manhattan, KS. It was hot. The temperature was in the 100"s and the wind was blowing. It would have been unbearable if the wind wasn't blowing. The event was held in a big area between HyVee and another business. It was a great time to hear some really good songwriters performing their songs. It was an enjoyable evening. I am looking forward to hearing these talented songwriters at the songwriting tent this week. It should be a great time.
