I decided that I was going to write today. I started off on a good note. I decided to not turn on the TV. I also decided to not get on any social media like facebook. I did good on both of those. I went to my writing room and I heard my grand daughter, Ella waking up in the next room. I went and got her out of her crib, changed her and gave her a drink. It was time for her to go downstairs and play with Mommy. I went back to the computer room and decided I needed to pay my Walmart cell phone bill. It is due tomorrow and I didn't want to forget about it. Paying the bill was a ten minute job. Not to bad. I went into Microsoft Word and a message came up that I needed to re-enter my 25 digit code or it would expire in twenty days. I noticed this ten days ago but I had been putting it off. I had to go into my old emails to find when I had purchased it and get the 25 digit code. I was so happy that I was able to find it. I inserted it and it didn't work. Then I had to contact Microsoft support and have them trouble shoot it for me. Needless to say this whole process took a lot longer than I was planning.
My original goal was to be in my room by 7 am and writing a story or some lyrics. After trouble shooting Microsoft Word, I was finally able to start writing something at 9:15 am. I decided I didn't have much time left because I have to get ready for work by 10 am. So I decided to share my writing opportunities with you. I know we all have the same struggles. Family, computer problems, bills to pay, hunger, thirsty, etc. and the list goes on and on.
I would be lying if I claimed to master the process on not being distracted. Obviously! What could I have done to have less distractions? Looking back the answer is simple. I should of went to my room and grabbed a pen and paper. Simple and easy. No websites to go to. No support person to call about why my pen isn't working. Tomorrow I am going to try again. I am looking forward to better results. I am going to find my pen and paper today for tomorrow.
