Richard Leigh had only been in Nashville less than a month and he had two songs that were recorded by  Nashville artists. (Debbie Boone and Crystal Gayle) The song I'll get over you went to number one. The label had a party to honor him for his #1 hit song. He went to the fancy event and the doorman would not let him enter. He was not recognized because after only living in Nashville such a short time. The door man asked him his name and he said, "Richard Leigh". The door man responded, "Yeah and I'm Queen Elizabeth."  Finally one of the organizers of the event say Richard outside and went and brought him in.
