I wrote a song and sent it to NSAI to get it evaluated. The evaluator did not like the lyrics to the song. He said, "The lyrics did not tell a story and why should he be interested in the song as a music listener." I thought the evaluation was fair. Writing country songs is harder than writing  a pop song. Pop songs don't have to go very deep or tell a story. In my opinion, they are built around a catchy beat and repetitive lyrics. Maybe what the evaluator was saying was, "I wrote a pop song." lol
