Have you heard the song by Lee Brice, I drive your truck? It is a cool song. It is about a loss. I believe it is about a son missing his father that has died. The son feels closer to his Father's memories when he drives his Dad's truck. I can relate so well to this song. My Dad passed away a couple years ago. I remember riding in some of Dad's old farm trucks. Riding in his trucks and spending time with him went hand in hand. Driving down a country road was a great place to talk to my Dad. He was a man of few words with a son that could talk his ear off. All he had to do was listen and I know that sometimes that was not an easy thing to do. His old trucks had his things in them. Examples - tools, pair of plier, brown jersey gloves, chore boots, etc. Everything in his truck was all man. Why would Mom's items be in Dad's truck? This is a great song that sparks memories of my Dad. Here are the lyrics to the chorus. I drive your truck. I roll every window down and I burn up, every back road in this town. I find a field, I tear it up, till all the pain's a cloud of dust. Yeah, sometimes, I drive your truck.
