It has been about a week since I wrote any blogs. My Mom is 91 years old. She lives in a retirement community in a small Kansas town. Last week she put away her winter clothes and got out her summer clothes. She picked dandelions from her front yard. (The retirement community is suppose to take care of all the yard work.) She drove her trash and dead dandelions to the trash dumpster to throw them away. After throwing them away she passed out or fainted. She ended up with a broken nose, 13 stitches and a broken finger. Ouch! She is out of the hospital and is now at home and feeling much better. It has been a hectic week for her and the family. Us kids have been spending time helping her around the house this week.I had a good time spending time with my Mom. I was at her home for one day and we never turned on the TV. No computer. Guess what? I probably didn't miss a thing. I heard a saying that I think is very accurate. Life is what happens that is not on our schedule. This week I was just living life.
