What is one word that babies learn first? I think it is the word, "No." Every time the baby reaches for something that is hot that could  burn them, "No." Don't play with that electrical socket. No. Get away from those stairs. No. Don't throw your food off your tray. No. Does all this sound familiar? I know it does if you have kids or grandkids. I wonder how many times I have been told no in my life. I have had years of practice at hearing the word no.
    How many times are we told yes? Yes, you can have a day off. Yes, you can go to the mall. Yes, are the lottery winner. Yes, we will give you a job. Yes, I will marry you. Yes, I love you. Yes, you can have a raise. I love to hear yes's.
    Okay here is the secret to no's and yes's. Number one- We will all hear more no's than yes's. Number two- Hearing no won't kill you. Number three- Every no gets you closer to a yes. This is encouraging for all of us who have heard our share of No's. I want to tell you to have a great day. Yes.
