My friend Richard told me about a new songwriter site. It is called www.globalsongwriters.com. It is a new site that was started by Sheree Spoltore. Sheree was the Assistant Executive Director of membership at NSAI. (Nashville Songwriting Association International). Sheree is bringing a lot of experience in working and helping songwriters in the next step of their career. I checked out the site. A membership is only $50. That is not a bad price but then you pay for other services. We all know the saying, We get what we pay for. On my website you get free advice from a part time musician and songwriter who does alot of reading. If you really want to be a songwriter, it is a really good idea to join a songwriter organization. The most important part is feedback. Honest feedback. That is what the contestants on American Idol,( who cannot sing a lick) have not received. They say  a true friend is the one that will tell you the truth. The only problem with songwriting is that our true friends may not know a thing about songwriting.  They may be great at telling us how to improve our golf swing or how to catch fish by the moss on the pond. I am considering joining global songwriters. This might be your next step also.
